We've enjoyed an exciting season of Color of the Year announcements, from Behr's deep black-gray choice to Pantone's peachy pick to half a dozen brands in between.
We can’t wait to see how each one is implemented in 2024. While some of these hues are predicted to be the stars of the year ahead, other colors are waiting in the wings to complete the perfect palettes.
With this in mind, we turned to a few of our favorite home decor experts and interior designers to find out what paint trends we’re about to see in our feeds.
While some we've also been eagerly anticipating, there are a few surprises in store, too.
According to Orlando Rodriguez, the design director of Whitehall Interiors, 2024 will be all about softly saturated palettes in jewel tones and vibrant neutrals.
“When muted blues and lilacs are paired with creams, rosés, and honey colors, they create a soft yet bold look that adds a warming touch to any room,” he says.
Ashley McCollum, color expert for the paint brand Glidden, agrees. She notes she’s excited to see cool grey neutrals take a backseat for a minute.
“Glidden’s Color of the Year, Limitless, is a fresh warm hue that holds the power of a primary color and the essence of a warm neutral,” she says, before noting that warm neutrals like this are especially perfect for their versatility.

With biophilic design trending for years now, it’s no surprise green is still a favorite. But Paul Kropp, co-founder at Bakes & Kropp, predicts it’ll continue to rise in 2024—in all its versatile variations.
“I expect green to be big in 2024,” he says. “From deep forest green that gives a very proper look to light pastel green for more of an airy feel, it's a truly versatile
